Shipping policy

SHIPPING & CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE

1. ORIGIN-DIRECT FULFILLMENT & FRESHNESS GUARANTEE
To preserve the delicate volatile organic compounds, haptic texture, and uncompromised terroir of our selections, LORAN operates an origin-direct fulfillment model. Select small-batch harvests and signature collections (including The Nomad Scroll) are dispatched directly from our climate-controlled reserves and heritage tea estates in Menghai (Yunnan) and the Phoenix Mountains (Guangdong). This architectural choice ensures that the leaf arrives in your hands without intermediate third-party warehousing contamination.

2. PROCESSING & TRANSIT TIMES
Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Because our shipments originate directly from the source estates to ensure pristine quality, international transit times apply. Any delivery windows provided at checkout are strategic estimates only. LORAN is not liable for shipping delays caused by international maritime or aviation carrier bottlenecks, severe weather, or statutory holidays in either the origin or destination jurisdictions.

3. CUSTOMS, INSPECTIONS & IMPORT DUTIES
- As agricultural and consumable products, international shipments may be subject to mandatory customs inspections, clearance protocols, and import duties levied by the destination country’s authorities (e.g., US CBP/FDA).
- All customs compliance, import clearance tasks, and associated localized taxes or duties are the sole legal and financial responsibility of the recipient.
- If a customer refuses to clear customs or pay local import duties, the package will be abandoned or destroyed by the carrier. In such events, NO REFUND OR RE-SHIPMENT will be issued under any circumstances.

4. ADDRESS ACCURACY & FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
- The customer is entirely responsible for providing an accurate, complete, and secure secure shipping address at the time of checkout. We cannot alter shipping manifests once an order enters fulfillment.
- If a package is returned to our origin facilities or destroyed by the carrier due to an incorrect address, insufficient delivery information, or failure of the recipient to claim the package after multiple carrier attempts, the order will be considered forfeited. No refunds will be granted for customer-induced delivery failures.

5. "DELIVERED" STATUS & STOLEN PACKAGES
Once the carrier’s tracking infrastructure marks a package as "Delivered," LORAN's legal liability for the physical property is fully concluded. We are not responsible for mail theft, porch piracy, or packages misplaced after successful carrier delivery. Customers must coordinate directly with the local carrier for any post-delivery discrepancies.
