Imperial Grade Ripe Pu-erh Tea

A fine-grade Gong Ting ripe Pu-erh aged for ten years, selected for smaller tender leaves, dark mellow depth, and a rounded, lightly oily texture. Time softens the edge of fermentation, leaving a quiet forest-floor aroma, warm earth, and a smooth finish built for slow return.

BREWING GUIDE

5g / 100ml | 203 F | 20s + 5s gongfu, or 3-4 min western

ORIGIN

Menghai, Yunnan, China | 21.95°N, 100.44°E | Yunnan large-leaf tea

Ten years of deliberate resting extracts the raw edge of fermentation, leaving a substance that is dark, rounded, and fundamentally quiet.

The initial rinse yields warm earth and aged wood. By the second infusion, the true structure emerges: a heavy, mellow liquidity anchored by a smooth, lightly oily finish.

Best executed through traditional Gongfu parameters, utilizing a high leaf-to-water ratio and water immediately off the boil. It requires no milk, no sugar, no decoration. Ripe Pu-erh does not perform for brightness; it is defined by sheer weight, patience, and a deliberate daily return. Drink plain.
